Crispy Smashed Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 1–2 lb baby yellow potatoes
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 2 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil (plus more for the pan)
  • 1½ tsp The Real Original spice blend
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Fresh herbs (optional)
  • Flaky sea salt (optional)
  • Grated Parmesan (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and lightly oil a baking sheet.
  2. Place the potatoes in a large pot with 1 tsp sea salt and enough water to cover. Bring to a boil and cook until fork-tender, 15–20 minutes. Drain and let cool slightly.
  3. Arrange the potatoes on the baking sheet and gently smash each one to about ½-inch thick. Drizzle with the olive oil and season with The Real Original.
  4. Roast for 25–35 minutes, turning the pan halfway through, until golden and crisp. Finish with pepper. fresh herbs, flaky sea salt, and Parmesan, if you like.
