Crispy Smashed Potatoes
If you’re looking for a reason to make smashed potatoes, this is it. Crispy edges, fluffy centres, olive oil, and a generous sprinkle of The Real Original make these awesome to serve any night of the week!
Ingredients
- 1–2 lb baby yellow potatoes
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 2 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil (plus more for the pan)
- 1½ tsp The Real Original spice blend
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Fresh herbs (optional)
- Flaky sea salt (optional)
- Grated Parmesan (optional)
Method
- Preheat the oven to 425°F and lightly oil a baking sheet.
- Place the potatoes in a large pot with 1 tsp sea salt and enough water to cover. Bring to a boil and cook until fork-tender, 15–20 minutes. Drain and let cool slightly.
- Arrange the potatoes on the baking sheet and gently smash each one to about ½-inch thick. Drizzle with the olive oil and season with The Real Original.
- Roast for 25–35 minutes, turning the pan halfway through, until golden and crisp. Finish with pepper. fresh herbs, flaky sea salt, and Parmesan, if you like.
