What makes The Gorgeous Spice Company blends so special?

We make small-batch spice blends using premium, cold-ground spices chosen for their flavour, freshness and quality. No unnecessary fillers, no complicated instructions. Just thoughtfully composed combinations that make good ingredients taste even better.

Our blends are designed to be versatile, so you’re not limited to one dish or cuisine. A blend that’s wonderful on roasted vegetables might be equally at home with chicken, fish, or a bowl of popcorn. We believe the cook is the most important ingredient. We’re simply here to give you more delicious possibilities.

How do I use your spice blends?

However you like! Rub them onto chicken, fish or tofu. Toss them with vegetables before roasting. Stir them into soups, sauces and dressings, or add them to eggs, potatoes and grains. Some of our blends are even fabulous in baking.

Not sure where to begin? Every Gorgeous blend has its own collection of recipes to get you cooking. And once you get to know a blend, we wholeheartedly encourage a little improvisation.

Why do your blends have such unique names and designs?

Because cooking isn’t just about nourishment. It’s also entertainment, creativity, and a little everyday adventure.

Our names take their inspiration from pop culture, music, movies and the occasional wonderfully peculiar reference. Rather than naming every blend after a particular dish or cuisine, we wanted to leave room for possibility.

After all, a great flavour combination shouldn’t be limited to one recipe. And your spice cupboard deserves a little personality.

What is The Gorgeous Spice Club, and what’s included?

The Gorgeous Spice Club is our seasonal spice subscription, created for people who love cooking, trying new things, and finding fresh inspiration in the kitchen.

Four times a year, members receive a carefully curated collection of four Gorgeous spice blends, accompanied by twelve original recipes with ideas for making the most of the season.

Each collection is designed around how we cook throughout the year, from summer grilling and abundant vegetables to the hearty, comforting dishes of winter.

Deliveries ship in January, April, July and October.

Can I give The Gorgeous Spice Club as a gift?

What is Notes from The Gorgeous Kitchen?

Notes from The Gorgeous Kitchen is a monthly collection with things like recipes, observations, discoveries, and the occasional surprise, delivered the old-fashioned way: through the mail.

Each envelope is a little invitation to spend more time enjoying your kitchen. You might find a new ingredient worth knowing, an interesting cooking technique, a cookbook recommendation, or a recipe that becomes an unexpected favourite.

It’s for curious cooks, cookbook browsers, grocery-store explorers, and anyone who believes there’s always something new to discover about food.

Notes is available as a monthly subscription and can be delivered worldwide.

Do you ship internationally?

Our spices, spice blends, gift boxes and Gorgeous Spice Club memberships are currently available for shipping within Canada.

Notes from The Gorgeous Kitchen, our monthly recipe and cooking correspondence, is available internationally.

How should I store my spices and blends?

Keep your spices in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. A cupboard or pantry is ideal. Right above the stove? Not so much.

Make sure packages are properly sealed between uses, and avoid shaking spices directly over steaming pots.

For the best flavour, follow the best-before date on the package. Spices gradually lose their intensity over time, so the fresher they are, the more they’ll bring to your cooking.

Can I customize my Gorgeous Spice Club subscription?

Each seasonal Gorgeous Spice Club collection is thoughtfully curated, with blends and recipes chosen to complement one another and the time of year. For that reason, the contents aren’t individually customizable.

Have a dietary concern or a question about a particular blend? Please get in touch before ordering. We’re always happy to help you understand what’s included.

Do your spice blends contain allergens?

Some of our spice blends contain ingredients such as mustard or sesame, and some may contain sulphites. We provide ingredient information on our packaging so you can make informed choices.

Our products are prepared in a facility that also handles nuts.

If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction, please contact us before ordering if you have questions. We want you to have the information you need to make the right choice for you.

Do your subscriptions automatically renew?

That depends on which Gorgeous subscription you choose!

The Gorgeous Spice Club: Memberships are purchased for a set period and do not automatically renew. We’ll send you a friendly reminder as your final delivery approaches, and you can decide whether you’d like to sign up for another season (or four!).

Notes from The Gorgeous Kitchen: Your subscription automatically renews each month, so you can keep looking forward to something lovely in your mailbox. You can cancel at any time if you decide to take a break.

What should I do if I have a question or problem with my order?

Get in touch! Whether you have a question about your delivery, need help choosing a blend, or something isn’t quite right with your order, we’re happy to help.

We’re a small company, and there’s a real person behind every reply. Drop us a line through our website, and we’ll do our best to sort things out.

Do you offer refunds or exchanges?

Because our spices and blends are food products, we generally cannot accept returns or exchanges for a change of mind.

However, if your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or isn’t as it should be, please contact us. We’ll review the situation and work with you to make things right.

When can I expect my order?

We generally prepare and ship orders Monday through Friday, within 2–5 business days. Once shipped, delivery within Canada typically takes another 2–8 business days, depending on your location.

Gorgeous Spice Club: Seasonal collections ship during the second week of January, April, July and October.

Notes from The Gorgeous Kitchen: Notes is mailed monthly. Delivery times vary depending on your location and postal service.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes! We offer complimentary shipping on eligible Canadian orders of $85 or more.

Shipping costs for smaller orders are calculated at checkout.
