October Evenings – The Gorgeous Kitchen
There’s something about cooking on an October evening that calls for the right soundtrack.
Not anything too sleepy. Not anything that demands your full attention. Just music with a little warmth, a little swing, and enough room in it to let dinner happen around it.
So I made a playlist for exactly that.
October Evenings is a collection of songs for chopping, stirring, tasting, pouring a glass of something, and letting a pot burble away on the stove. There are familiar songs, unexpected covers, a few voices you’ll know immediately, and others that might send you down a very pleasant rabbit hole.
Think relaxed rather than slow. Cosy without becoming precious. Music that keeps the room moving.
It feels particularly right for this time of year, when the light disappears a little earlier and spending an extra half-hour in the kitchen suddenly seems like a very good idea.
