Sweet and Spicy Curried Popcorn

Sweet and Spicy Curried Popcorn

1 tsp curry powder

Pinch of cayenne (Add more if you like the heat!)

1/2 tsp kosher salt

3/4 cup (177 ml) uncooked popcorn kernels

1/3 cup (78 ml) of vegetable oil

1 Tbsp honey

2 Tbsp unsalted butter 

  1. On the stovetop, using a 4-quart pot (with a lid) heat the oil to a medium high heat.
  2. Add popcorn and cover with the lid.  Once the popping starts to slowdown, remove the pot from the heat. Leave covered, wait for 2-3 minutes to allow the final pops, then empty into a large bowl.
  3. In a small saucepan, over medium-high heat, combine the butter and honey until melted.
  4. Pour over freshly popped corn, toss to coat evenly and serve.
