Smokey Sergio Leone

Smokey Sergio Leone

Bourbon and smokey flavours are always a good combination and work particularly well with the warming flavours of this cocktail.

Named after the Spaghetti Western filmmaker (known for films like The Good, The Bad and The Ugly), you can make this cocktail either with Repasado Tequilla or Bourbon. We chose Bourbon, infusing it with Lonestar’s Leap overnight. (You could do the same with Tequilla if that’s your preference.)

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 oz. Bourbon, infused overnight with ½ tsp of Lonestar’s Leap and strained with a coffee filter
  • ¾ oz White Vermouth
  • ¼ Orange Liqueur
  • A pinch of Lonestar’s Leap to dust the ice cubes as garnish

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a mixing glass, combine the Bourbon, Vermouth and Liqueur and stir. Add ice and stir again, then let sit for 30 seconds to chill.
  2. Strain into a lowball glass half-filled with ice. Sprinkle the pinch of Lonestar’s Leap onto the ice cubes and serve.
